The course is aimed at hand, orthopaedic and plastic surgeons who want to try their hand in all common hand surgery procedures. This is a basic practical course to involve surgeons to hand surgery or to deepen principles of techniques.
The faculty of international FESSH experts will discuss the rationale behind each surgical technique, showing the tricks and tips to avoid complications and achieve the best possible result. Following the discussion of each technique there will be a practical part.
Before the Course, participants will be asked which techniques they would like to try out and see, and the Course will be guided for the different levels of depth and experience of the participant. At the end of the Course, all the basic knowledge will be acquired in order to be able to give patients a modern treatment and an effective approach to the most frequent pathologies that hand surgeons have to deal with in their daily lives.
Each board member will show what ‘his’ tricks are for avoiding problems and having the best result. The techniques on the cadaver are chosen in advance by each member with a doodle-like questionnaire. The interventions are shown through films or presentations and are immediately replicated on the anatomical preparations. Two days of intense work that will grow overall.
